As a Pyro fan, I agree that while adorable he's also quite tragic, but for whatever it's worth, he never snaps out of it and has to realize what he's done AFAIK, and also the respawn mechanic in games is a canonical real feature in the tf2 lore, sure he's slaughtering them but they'll be back at their fort perfectly fine in like 2 minutes lol

i dont understand why people are so untrusting of Maximus, though i suppose that was really caked into the narrative... i trusted Max, though. as nervous as he was, he sounded honest (to me) when saying he didn't do it. i find his rage oddly satisfying, and his stupidity very relatable, he turned out to be a character i really loved despite his faults :) watching reactions, i see a whole new side of him. it was hard to not get mad when people dislike him but, looking back, i see it LMAO he's really hard-headed and kind of strange

The only reason Maximus said it's a cult is because everyone in the Vault seems happy to be there and to be with each other. He wasn't being smart at all. Just wasn't used to seeing people be happy.

If you ever what to know why "how is that still on?" the answer is that in the Fallout world, fusion tech advanced very far. To the point of miniaturization. A bunch of things are still running on residual nuclear power. So they advanced in more in power technology instead of information technology like our world has.

The weirdest thing (Imo) is that the setting of this great game's universe is not that far off reality, but OFC builds on the idea that we Humans are way more technologically advanced then we are now. Great game and great story :)

I think it's important you notice that the two people in the recording they show Lucy in Vault 4, with the scientists attacked by the Overseer's great uncle Peter (On his mother's side :) ) are the same scientists in the Vault-Tec advert (Because he's advertising Vault 4 too!). These people in the ad say that the vault is governed entirely by scientists who are to study the effects of radiation in the DNA, a proposition that seems incredibly beneficial for the cault communities that will repopulate the world after a nuclear holocaust. And yet among their experiments we see a deformed monster with multiple rows of fingers for teeth, and a woman captive in a tank who is made to gestate mutant fish that will devour her after she gives birth. The point is that Vault-Tec is f*cked up, which you already suspect, but this shows you one of the many specific ways in which Vault-Tec is f*cked up. It's not worth a doctoral thesis in film studies but I think these are realy cool details that make watching the episodes with care really worth it, or at least give it more than one watch.

The people of the post-apocalyptic wasteland in the Fallout universe are quite strange, goofy, and also dangerous. It can make for some humor.

Man, i never really paid mind to Maximus, until my sister started watching and immediately couldn’t stand how stupid he is. Turns out people started examining his stats and he has low intelligence and high luck stats.

Still gonna throw the recommendation for the Shoddycast Fallout Storyteller series, it’s a great UA-cam series with a soothing narration of the the things going on in the Wasteland and the back when times, from taking about organizations like The Brotherhood, NCR and Enclave and other things, like why the use bottle caps, The FEV Virus which our dear friend Thaddeus might have injected as well as so much more. If you’re interested in learning more about the Fallout universe it’s the best place to go.
